[:en]Workshop for travel agents with tour operator “PANTEON”

The second work shop organized with the assistance of Tour Operator PANTEON (Travel Agent of the NATALIE TOURS) was held on 23rd October 2008. Almost 33 regional travel agents participated this work shop.
Sri Lankan Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga expressed extreme confidence that the Russian Tourism will become the wave of the future of Sri Lanka Tourism.
For the first 1.5 hours The Ambassador H.E. Udayanga Weeratunga has made a speech about the country, some aspects of traveling, customs formalities, and souvenirs as well as the main historical heritage and ancient towns, culture and nature together with the main itinerary for tourists. During his speaking participants had an opportunity to see the picture of Sri Lanka on the big screen behind. At the end of the speech Ambassador told about the most popular hotels on the beach, answered all question of the audience and introduced the new Tourist Promotion Assistant to the Agents.
All participants got presents from the Embassy and from the Ambassador such as video and brochures about Sri Lanka and the best of Sri Lankan tea. Workshops were concluded by the speeches of the Heads of Sri Lankan Department of Panteon. They informed all agents about winter programs of their companies, main itineraries and information about beach hotels in Sri Lanka.

Посольство ДСР Шри Ланки приняло участие в рабочей встрече в гостинице «Даниловская», посвященной Шри Ланке. Семинар был организован многопрофильным туроператором TEZ TOUR для их агентской сети. В начале встречи Карасева Наталья, начальник отдела по развитию агентской сети компании PANTEON представила участникам Его Превосходительство господина Удаянга Виратунга, Чрезвычайного и Полномочного Посла ДСР Шри Ланка в Российской Федерации, а так же Ассистента по Развитию Туризма Посольства ДСР Шри Ланка Королькову Анну.
Господин Посол выступал перед аудиторией в течение 1,5 часов и рассказал об особенностях отдыха в его стране, таможенных формальностях, Шри Ланкийских сувенирах, а так же об историческом и культурном наследии острова, которое было бы интересно посмотреть туристам. Его превосходительство представил менеджерам основной маршрут, который был бы удобен для путешественников и позволил бы без труда насладиться красотой Шри Ланки. Выступление сопровождалось видео презентацией основных достопримечательностей. В конце выступления г-н Удаянга Виратунга немного коснулся темы отелей как в центре острова, по пути экскурсионного маршрута, так и на пляже, отметил некоторые особенности пляжного отдыха в разных районах страны. Все участники очень тепло и с интересом слушали Его Превосходительство и задавали массу вопросов о Шри Ланке, на которые г-н Посол с удовольствием ответил. Во время встречи все участники получили подарки от Посольства ДСР Шри Ланка: видео фильм и брошюры о Шри Ланке, а так же знаменитый Шри Ланкийский чай. В конце семинара перед аудиторией выступил менеджер компании PANTEON, который более подробно рассказал менеджерам туристических агентств о программах, предлагаемых в этом зимнем сезоне компанией, а так же освятил особенности отдыха в различных отелях на побережье Шри Ланки.
