Senior official delegation from the Ministry of External affairs headed by Mr. K.D. Ranjith, Chief Accountant, visited Moscow on the 23rd of April 2011. Mr. Ranjith was accompanied by Mr. W. G. S. Prasanna, Director Overseas Administration and Mr. J.H. Liyange, Director, Overseas Mission Accounts
H.E. the Ambassador Weeratunga, hosted a welcome dinner at his residence; proposed a toast and said that he is thankful to the delegation for selecting Moscow as their destination, since Moscow city, social life of people and the life style has changed and this visit would give the delegation an opportunity to have firsthand experience and would help them in planning and operating future endeavors of this mission.
Mr. Ranjith also thanked and expressed the satisfaction to the Ambassador and the staff for their commitment and the dedication shown in the affairs of the mission and also warm hospitality extended to the delegation.
Diplomatic Staff of the mission and their spouses and leading Sri Lankan entrepreneurs of the Diaspora were present at the occasion.

23 апреля 2011 состоялся официальный визит делегации Министерства Иностранных Дел Шри Ланки во главе с Финансовым Директором Г-ном K.D. Ranjith. Также в составе делегации были Г-н W. G. S. Prasanna, Директор управления зарубежными миссиями, и Г-н J.H. Liyange, Директор финансового отдела зарубежных миссий.
Посол Его Превосходительство Удаянга Виратунга организовал прием в своей резиденции и праздничный ужин. Г-н Посол поблагодарил делегацию за выбор Москвы для своего визита, т.к. социальные условия и уровень жизни в столице России очень изменился за последнее время и этот визит позволит участникам делегации увидеть ситуацию своими глазами и получить информацию из первых рук, что поможет им в организации работы миссии в дальнейшем.
Г-н Ранжит также поблагодарил всех присутствующих и выразил удовлетворенность работой Посла и всех сотрудников Миссии, которые проявляют заинтересованность и активное участие в делах Посольства. Также он выразил благодарность за гостеприимный прием, оказанный делегации.
На приеме присутствовали все дипломатические сотрудники Посольства с супругами, ведущие ланкийские бизнесмены Москвы и другие представители ланкийской диаспоры.
