On the 12th & 13th of March 2009 the Embassy of Sri Lanka opened its door for travel agents. About 30 agents participated the meeting and got awareness about Sri Lanka as a tourist destination. At a tea break all agents had an opportunity to taste some of Sri Lankan food and Ceylon tea as well. The program of the meeting was completely devoted to Sri Lanka as the best destination within Asia.
During 1.5 hours H.E. the Ambassador was telling about the country, some aspects of traveling, customs and visa formalities, and souvenirs as well as the main historical heritage and ancient towns, culture and nature together with the main itinerary for tourists. During the meeting participants had an opportunity to see the new images of Sri Lanka on the big screen.
All participants got presents from the Embassy such as video and brochures about Sri Lanka.

12 и 13 марта Посольство ДСР Шри Ланки в Москве впервые открыло двери для менеджеров туристических агентств сети «Горячие Туры» и «ВКО Клуб» совместно с туроператором Гранд Тур Вояж. Господин Удаянга Виратунга, Чрезвычайный и Полномочный Посол ДСР Шри Ланка в Российской Федерации, поделился своими знаниями об острове – чудо Шри Ланке.
На семинаре обсуждали историю, культуру, основные маршруты, а так же планы Шри Ланки по развитию туризма в ближайшие пять лет.
Во время чай — паузы присутствующие могли попробовать некоторые Шри Ланкийские закуски и, конечно же, знаменитый цейлонский чай.
Вторая часть семинара была посвящена обсуждению перелетов, гостиниц как внутри острова, так и на побережье. Руководитель Туристического Департамента Посольства Шри Ланки г-жа Анна Королькова ответила на вопросы менеджеров агентств.
После встречи все участники получили подарки от Посольства ДСР Шри Ланка: видео фильм и брошюры о стране.
