[:en]Ambassador Weeratunga hosts Mr. Konstantin Dolgov for a Working dinner

Ambassador of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation H.E. Udayanga Weeratunga and Madam Uma Weeratunga hosted Russian Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law Ambassador-at-large Mr. Konstantin Dolgov and Madam Natalia Dolgova to a working dinner on 03rd October. The dinner took place at the Official Residence of Ambassador Weeratunga.
The event was arranged to discuss the results of the visit of Mr. Dolgov to Sri Lanka during 19-21 September 2012 at the invitation of Minister of External Affairs of Sri Lanka. During the dinner Ambassador Dolgov briefed Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga of his discussions with the senior government officials of Sri Lanka on the work already done by the Government of Sri Lanka with regard to reconciliation and development in the country after the end of the Humanitarian Operation by the Sri Lanka Armed Forces in 2009. The efforts of the government for the successful return of Internally Displaced Persons to their original places and the rehabilitation of former LTTE combatants were highly commended by Mr. Dolgov.
Ambassador Dolgov also shared the experiences of his brief visit to Sri Lanka. Noting that he has travelled to many countries, Mr. Dolgov compared the positive developments in Sri Lanka. Colombo in particular was appreciated for its cleanliness and well maintenance. He also noted the Sri Lankan hospitality which he enjoyed during his short visit.
The discussion also touched on the trade relations between Sri Lanka and Russia. Speaking of the investment opportunities in Russia Mr. Dolgov stressed the need to encourage Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and businessmen to invest in the country. He said steps should be taken to relax the procedures to encourage Sri Lankans to visit Russia and to make use of the opportunities aimed at promoting trade between the two countries.
Mr. Ruslan Bayramov, the Founding President and Manager of “Etnomir also joined the dinner. During the conversation it was noted that the project “Etnomir” has been designed as an open air museum to promote the ethnic and cultural diversity of the countries around the world. Mr. Bayramov invited Sri Lankan businessmen to make use of the “Sri Lankan cultural house” (the design was based on “Sigiriya” the world famous Lion’s rock in Sri Lanka) which is nearly constructed in the Etnomir complex, to promote their products in Russia and to develop business partnership with Russian businesses.

Посол Шри-Ланки в Российской Федерации ЕП Удаянга Виратунга и мадам Ума Виратунга состоялся комиссара по правам человека российского министерства иностранных, демократии и верховенства права посла по особым поручениям Константин Долгов Г-н Г-жа Наталья и Долгова к рабочим ужином на 03 октября. Обед проходил в официальной резиденции посла Виратунга.
Мероприятие было организовано с целью обсуждения результатов визита г-на Долгова в Шри-Ланку в течение 19-21 сентября 2012 года в приглашению министра иностранных дел Шри-Ланки. Во время ужина Посол Долгов проинформировал посла Удаянга Виратунга его обсуждения с высокопоставленными правительственными чиновниками Шри-Ланке на работе, уже проделанной правительством Шри-Ланки в связи с примирением и развития в стране после окончания гуманитарной операции по Шри Ланка Вооруженных Сил в 2009 году усилия правительства для успешного возвращения внутренне перемещенных лиц в их прежних местах и реабилитации бывших комбатантов ТОТИ получили высокую оценку г-н Долгов.
Посол Долгов также поделился опытом своей краткой поездки в Шри-Ланке. Отметив, что он путешествовал по многим странам, г-н Долгов по сравнению позитивные сдвиги в Шри-Ланке. Коломбо, в частности, была оценена для его чистоты и также обслуживание. Он также отметил, Шри-Ланки гостеприимства, которым он пользовался во время своего короткого визита.
В ходе дискуссии также затронули торговых отношений между Шри-Ланке и России. Говоря о возможностях инвестирования в России г-н Долгов подчеркнул необходимость поощрения Шри-Ланки предпринимателей и бизнесменов инвестировать в страну. Он сказал, должны быть приняты меры, чтобы расслабить процедуры для поощрения Шри-Ланки, чтобы посетить Россию и использовать возможности, направленных на содействие развитию торговли между двумя странами.
Г-н Руслан Байрамов, основателем и президентом и руководитель «ЭТНОМИР также присоединился обед. В ходе беседы было отмечено, что проект «ЭТНОМИР» был разработан в качестве музея под открытым небом, чтобы способствовать этническое и культурное разнообразие стран по всему миру. Г-н Байрамов пригласил Шри-Ланки бизнесменов, чтобы сделать использование «Шри-Ланки дома культуры» (проект был основан на «Сигирия» всемирно известный рок-Lion в Шри-Ланке), который почти построенной в комплексе ЭТНОМИР, чтобы продвигать свою продукцию в Россия и развивать деловое сотрудничество с российскими предприятиями.
