[:en]Welcoming reception of new Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka

The newly appointed Russian Ambassador to Sri Lanka H.E. Mr. Vladimir Mikhailov attended the reception and dinner organized by H.E. Mr. Udayanga Weeratunga, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russian Federation. New Ambassador had an opportunity to meet all Sri Lankan official and business representatives and Sri Lankan friends in Moscow and its region.
H.E. Vladhimir Mikhailov showed the great interest in Sri Lanka. Also we found out that he is a no stranger for Sri Lanka and for the Asian region. Earlier he worked in the Russian Embassies in Pakistan and Ethiopia.
In his speech, the new Ambassador, His Excellency Mr. V.Mikhailov said the relationship between the two countries date as far back as 1957 and the relationship and sees it a notable undertaking to the future designed on a well structured ‘vision’. A vision of this kind has already manifested itself through cooperation of various programmes that include Education, trade and commercial. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation H.E. Ambassador paid tribute and express heartfelt thanks to all those who have contributed support ,for his appointment, specially to the Sri Lankan Ambassador. He said that your goodwill and support appreciate and will be remembered.
Sri Lanka Ambassador H.E. Udayanga Weeratunga welcomed all guests and mentioned that he is very glad about the appointment of the his friend new Ambassador and hopefully Sri Lanka can expect much more activities from Russian side under the guides of new Ambassador. This reception was one of the most colorful reception organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow and Sri Lankan students from Tver Medical Academy performed Sri Lankan dance items. After the dance performances Ambassador invited all guest to taste the special Sri Lankan dinner. Ambassadors of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal are also attended this special function.

Новоназначенный посол России в Шри-Ланке HE Г-н Владимир Михайлов принял участие в приеме и ужин, организованный Г-н Удаянга Виратунга, посол Шри-Ланки в Российской Федерации. Новый посол имел возможность встретиться все шри-ланкийской официальных и деловых кругов и Шри-Ланки друзей в Москве и области.
Владимир Михайлов показал большой интерес в Шри-Ланке. Кроме того, мы выяснили, что он является не чужд для Шри-Ланки и в азиатском регионе. Ранее он работал в посольствах России в Пакистане и Эфиопии.
В своем выступлении, новый посол, Его Превосходительство г-н Михайлов сказал, что отношения между двумя странами датируются в 1957 году и отношений и видит это заметный обязательство в будущем разработанной на хорошо структурированной «видения». Видение такого рода уже проявляется через сотрудничество различных программ, которые включают образование, торговля и коммерческие. От имени Министерства иностранных дел Российской Федерации Посол отдал должное и выразить сердечную благодарность всем тем, кто способствовал поддержку для его назначения, специально для Шри-Ланки посла. Он сказал, что ваш доброй воли и поддержки ценят и будут помнить.
Его Превосходительство посол Удаянга Виратунга приветствовал всех гостей и отметил, что он очень рад, о назначении своего друга новый посол, и мы надеемся Шри-Ланка может ожидать много больше мероприятий с российской стороны под направляющим нового посла. Этот прием был одним из самых ярких приеме, организованном посольством Шри-Ланки в Москве и Шри-Ланки студентов из Тверской медицинской академии осуществляется Шри-Ланки элементы танца. После выступления посол танцевальных пригласил всех гостей отведать специальное Шри-Ланки ужин. Послы Пакистана, Бангладеш и Непале также присутствовали эту специальную функцию.
