A seminar on “Sri Lanka Tourism” for tour agents was held on 22nd of February 2012 at the residence of H.E. the Ambassador in collaboration with Intaer Tour operator. 47 tour agents took part at the event.
The Ambassador of Sri Lanka H.E. Udayanga Weeratunga delivered an informative presentation on developments of Sri Lanka Tourism industry, current developments on infrastructure, briefing on Sri Lanka, main itineraries, heritage, cuisine, and visa formalities etc. All participants were made well aware on Sri Lanka as a tourist destination.
Followed by the Ambassador’s speech, the presentation on Sri Lankan Airlines flight operations to Moscow was done by Ms. Anna Korolkova, Director General of Sri Lankan Airlines office in Moscow.
The raffle draw was arranged by the sponsoring tour operator, Intaer Tour to select a winner to participate the familiarizing tour to Sri Lanka. Further the company presented fact and details about their company and recommended tourist destinations.
End of the seminar, participants enjoyed a Sri Lankan lunch and Ceylon tea. Participants received gift packs with Ceylon tea, Audio Guide CD, tourism posters and other tourism promotional materials from the Ambassador.

22 Февраля 2012 года в резиденции Посла ДСР Шри-Ланка в РФ при поддержке туроператора «Интер Тур» прошел семинар «Туризм в Шри-Ланке», в котором приняли участие 47 туристических агентств.
Его Превосходительство Удаянга Виратунга, Чрезвычайный и Полномочный Посол выступил с презентацией, в которой изложил основные факты об историческом наследии, традициях национальной кухне Шри-Ланки, а также подробно и красочно рассказал о состоянии и развитии туристической индустрии и главных туристических маршрутах этой страны. Участники семинара получили исчерпывающую информацию о Шри-Ланке как о новом туристическом направлении.
На семинаре также выступила с речью генеральный директор московского представительства авиакомпании “SriLankan Airlines” Анна Королькова. Она рассказала об основных возможностях этой компании в деле организации прямых авиаперелётов из Шри-Ланки в Москву.
Благодаря спонсорской поддержке туроператора «Интер Тур» в ходе семинара была разыграна лотерея. Победитель получил возможность совершить бесплатный ознакомительный тур в Шри-Ланку. Представители туроператора «Интер Тур» выступили с краткой презентацией своей компании, а также дали рекомендации по выбору основных направлений туристических маршрутов.
Семинар завершился чаепитием, в ходе которого гости смогли насладиться цейлонским чаем и полакомиться традиционными ланкийскими угощениями. Каждый участник семинара получил в подарок CD диски с аудио гидом по Шри-Ланке, туристические постеры, другую рекламную продукцию и, конечно же, цейлонский чай.
