President Mahinda Rajapaksa trusts Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs …
President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Joint Opposition representatives held a special dinner at the Islamabad Serena Hotel on the final day of the Presidential Visit to President Mahinda Rajapaksa during his Pakistani visit to Sri Lanka by Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka Mrs. Tehmina Janjua. Senior Pakistani officers, senior Pakistani high officials in Sri Lanka and senior military officials attended the banquet.
Ms. Dwayne emphasized that President Mahinda Rajapaksa is a trusted leader in the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He recalled that he was working very closely with the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the issues raised by the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka during the period when he served as the Ambassador of Geneva in Geneva. In addition, with friendly discussions with the Pakistani foreign secretary, Mrs. Tamina Junajah, Mahinda Rajapaksa observed the ancient Stupa with the observance of the Buddhist statutory boards in Taqala. President Mahinda Rajapaksa did not forget to send a kind request from the Pakistani government to the tooth relic of the Buddha in the most sacred place of the Tooth Relic.
