[:en]“MITT 2011″ Tourism & Travel Fair in Moscow

18th International Travel & Tourism Fair “MITT 2011 was held from 16th to 19th March 2011 at the Expo Center in Moscow, Russia. Sri Lanka Tourism promotion Bureau organized the “Sri Lanka Stand” with support of Sri Lanka Embassy in Moscow and 14 Sri Lankan tour companies and hotels participated at the event.
H.E. the Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga opened the Sri Lanka stand with lighting traditional oil lamp with other participants. Delivering the speech at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Weeratunga explained the current situation of tourism in Egypt and requested the support of all participants to attract more tourists from this region. It will be helped to achieve the government target which is attracting 2.5 million tourists per annum by 2016.
Also on 17th March 2011, Ambassador Weeratunga & Mrs. Weeratunga invited all Sri Lankan participants, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau officials and tour/travel operators in Russia to participate special presentation and dinner at the Ambassador’s residence. More than 50 guests participated.
At this reception Ambassador explained the current situation of tourism industry in Sri Lanka.

16-19 марта 2011 года
C 16 по 19 марта 2011 года в Москве прошла очередная выставка Путешествия и Туризм МИТТ 2011. На стенде Шри Ланки, выполненном в оригинальном современном стиле принимали участие 14 туристических компаний Шри Ланки: Delux Holidays, Ceylon Tours, Connaissance de Ceylan, Concord Exotic Voyages, Tangerine Tours, Jetwing Travels, Calista Travel, Mount Lavinia Hotel, Maldiviana Sri Lanka, Aitken Spence, Look Asia Holidays, Favourite Holidays, Walkers Tours, Pigeon Island Resort. Безусловно, искрящийся стенд привлекал внимание посетителей, которые стремились запечатлеть себя на его фоне.
Открытие стенда провел г-н Посол Шри Ланки Е.П. Удаянга Виратунга. После традиционного зажигания лампы, он пожелал всем участникам прекрасной работы, новых деловых партнеров и так же упрочения уже имеющихся деловых связей. Всем гостям было предложено отведать кирибат и острые национальные закуски.
На второй день выставки в Посольстве Шри Ланки прошел прием для всех представителей туристической индустрии, журналистов и авиакомпаний, на котором присутствовало более 50 гостей. В тесном кругу друзей, Посол сообщил о планах Шри Ланки на будущее. Особенно радостно г-н Посол отметил выход в предстоящем сезоне на рынок авиакомпании ШриЛанкан Эйрлайнз и Аэрофлот, которые поставят свои прямые регулярные рейсы из Москвы в Коломбо с октября 2011 года.
