The presentation of the book “President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa “Leadership” was held at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Moscow on 12th August, 2010. The Book is presented by H.E. Mr. Udayanga Weeratunga, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka. Ambassadors, diplomats, journalists, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of travel & tea companies were presented at the Reception.
Now Sri Lanka is on the threshold of a new bright future, in which confidently leading the country by President Mahinda Rajapaksa. In the history of the state, which has ancient roots and 2500 years of history, were not so many leaders who have received the status of “National Hero”. Mahinda Rajapaksa – one of them. Mahinda Rajapaksa is to some an enigma. His rise to power has been phenomenal. His is an improbable story. That story is epic. “I am sure that the whole world looks towards Sri Lanka and its President, because the world can learn from a small country that has been able to defeat terrorism”- H.E. Udayanga Weeratunga, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation said. History of the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa – the history of the present leader.
