March 17, 2008 at the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University held a ceremony dedicated to the Activities referred 60 anniversary of independence of Sri Lanka and the 100 th anniversary of the first Soviet ambassador in Ceylon VG Yakovlev and 50 anniversary of the Society of Russian Lankan duruzhby. Also, a photo exhibition and sosoyalas otkritiya prezentachiya DVD Albom Sri Lanka through the eyes of the Russian ambassador.
