We arrived at the Weligama Bay Marriott Resort on the 25th of September and were immediately welcomed by the friendly staff members. We checked in to our rooms, and were astonished by the phenomenal views. Afterwards, we went out to explore the hotel, took some beautiful photos of the ocean waves and its surroundings. Later, the hunger set in and we decided to have dinner in the restaurant below.
On the second day, we went straight for breakfast and on the way my children were greeted by one of the staff who asked if they wanted to join them in the painting class, which they gladly said yes to. So after lunch Diyon and Sithara went to do some painting with the instructor to help them, they enjoyed the session a lot. Then once again we were presented with delicious food.
On the final day, my family went up to the rooftop and took some lovely pictures but it was very windy up there so we didn’t stay there for long. After dinner, we said our farewells to the staff and left.
On the way to the Weligama Bay Marriott hotel, we stopped on the way to check out a new upcoming hotel, Araliya Unawatuna, which is still under construction but very close to being finished. It was very enormous in size and seemed to provide similar services to the more renowned hotels around the world.
