Special Reception on occasion of Jeweller-2’2009 Exhibition participants was held at the Embassy of Sri Lanka. First time Sri Lanka welcomes jewellery delegation. Russia and Sri Lanka have a strong relationship in military section, tourism sphere, tea trade and some other activities. Time has come for the jewellery as well.
“Jeweller-2” Exhibition took place from 15 till 23 May 2009 in Sokolniki and Sri Lanka had a special delegation on such an event. Among the delegation were Mr. G.H. Ajith P. Perera, Acting Deputy Director General of the Sri Lanka National Gem & Jewellery Authority, Mr. A.H. Chanaka Ellawala, Immediate Past Chairman of the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association and the current Chairman of the Facets (the leading gem & jewellery show in Sri Lanka) organizing committee of the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association, Mr. E. Famini Zoysa, a businessman and a member of the organizing committee of the Facets.
As a result of the visit, Russian Jewellery delegation will come to Sri Lanka “Facets” Exhibition in September 2009.

Специальный прием прошел в посольстве Шри Ланки в Москве, в честь участников выставки Ювелир-2’2009. Шри Ланка впервые приветствует в своих стенах делегацию представителей ювелирной промышленности. Страны уже давно сотрудничают в области обороны, туризма, чайной торговли, а сейчас настало время и для развития сотрудничества в ювелирной сфере.
Выставка «Ювелир – 2» проходит в Сокольниках в Москве с 15 по 23 мая 2009 года. На выставку впервые за всю историю двусторонних отношений приехала делегация из Шри Ланки, в составе которой были г-н Г.Х. Аджит П. Перера, исполняющий обязанности заместителя генерального директора Национального Комитета по Драгоценным Камням и Ювелирным Изделиям Шри Ланки, г-н А.Х. Чанака Эллавала, бывший председатель Национального Комитета по Драгоценным Камням и Ювелирным Изделиям Шри Ланки и действующий Председатель оргкомитета «Фэйсетс» (ведущей выставки драгоценных камней и ювелирных украшений), г-н Э. Гамини Зойса, бизнесмен и член оргкомитета «Фэйсетс».
По итогам поездки намечен ответный визит представителей ювелирной промышленности России в Шри Ланку в сентябре 2009 года на выставку «Фэйсетс».
