VIII World Tea and Coffee Festival took place on 26th to 29th May, 2011 in Kolomenskoe, Moscow. The open space design the organizers chose attracted much more visitors than previous years.
Sri Lanka was represented by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Russian Federation in unified stall under the brand Ceylon Tea together with Six Sri Lankan tea companies; JAF TEA, IMPRA, RISTON, BASILUR, HEYLEYS and Rayskie Ptycy.
The H.E. Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga took part in the opening ceremony of the festival. The Ambassador wished all the success and prosperity to the participants and the visitors of the Festival, he also invited them to taste and to buy pure Ceylon Tea because only the Ceylon Tea, which was produced and packed in Sri Lanka, with a unique aroma and a taste, was in the Sri Lanka stall.
This was the first time the leading tea companies in the competitive Russian tea market, joined together with the Embassy of Sri Lanka to represent Ceylon Tea.

26-29 Мая 2011 года в музее-усадьбе Коломенское состоялся VIII Международный Фестиваль Чая и Кофе. В этом году Фестиваль проводился на открытой площадке, что, безусловно, привлекло большее число посетителей и зрителей.
Шри Ланка была представлена Посольством Шри Ланки в Москве на одном большом объединенном стенде 100 кв.м. под брендом Цейлонский Чай, на котором свою продукцию показали компании JAF TEA, IMPRA, RISTON, BASILUR, HEYLES, Райские птицы.
В церемонии открытия Фестиваля принял участие Посол ДСР Шри-Ланка в России Е.П. Удаянга Виратунга. Г-н Посол пожелал всем участником успехов и процветания, а так же пригласил всех попробовать настоящий Цейлонский чай и купить понравившиеся марки чая, тем более что на стенде представлен настоящий Цейлонский чай, который произведен и упакован в Шри Ланке.

Впервые в истории чайные компании Шри Ланки, занимающие ведущие позиции на российском чайном рынке, объединились под эгидой Посольства.
