His Excellency Udayanga Weeratunga, Ambassador of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation hosted a dinner reception in his Residence to celebrate the New year on the 19th December 2013. SriLankan Business community living in Moscow, Sri Lankan student in Moscow and members of Sri Lankan Diaspora, Staff of the Embassy along with the staff of the SriLankan Airlines office of Russia were present at the occasion.
His Excellency the Ambassador welcomed all the guests, wished for a happy and prosperous New Year. Further He presented a Powerpoint Presentation about the work done in Sri Lankan Embassy In Russia on the year 2013 and explained about the work plan the embassy has prepared for the year 2014. Especially highlight promotion of tourism in Sri Lanka.
Traditional this event every year the Ambassador Weeratunga, personally selected gift for every person who is working under the Embassy. And this year the Ambassador gave gift for every staff Sri Lankan Airline-Moscow and gave gift every student who were present in the occasion.
Traditional sweets and Sri Lankan cuisine was presented to the guests and famous Ceylon tea RANDY.

Его Превосходительство Удаянга Виратунга, посол Демократической Социалистической Республики Шри-Ланки в Российской Федерации состоялся прием с ужином в своей резиденции, чтобы отпраздновать Новый год на 19 декабря 2013 года ШриЛанкан бизнес-сообщества, проживающие в Москве, Шри-Ланки студента в Москве и членов Шри-Ланки диаспора, сотрудники посольства вместе с сотрудниками офиса SriLankan Airlines России присутствовали на поводу.
Его Превосходительство Посол приветствовал всех гостей, пожелал счастливого и процветающего Нового года. Далее он представил презентация о проделанной работе в Шри-Ланки посольства в России на 2013 год и рассказал о плане работы посольство, подготовленный для 2014 года Особенно выделить продвижение туризма в Шри-Ланке.
Традиционный это событие посол Виратунга, лично выбрал подарок для каждого человека, который работает при Посольстве. А в этом году посол дал подарок для каждого персонала Шри-Ланки Авиакомпания-Москва и дал дар каждому студенту, кто присутствовал в поводу.
Традиционные сладости и Шри-Ланки кухни был представлен гостям и знаменитый цейлонский чай Рэнди.
