10 September 2014 a delegation of Minsk Resident Coordinator of the UN system, led by Resident Representative in Belarus Mr. Chanka Samarasinha. His Excellency Ambassador Udayanga Weeratunga, hosted a welcome dinner at his residence; proposed a toast and said that he is thankful to the delegation for selecting Moscow as their destination, since Moscow city, social life of people and the life style has changed and this visit would give the delegation an opportunity to have firsthand experience and would help them in planning and operating future endeavors of this mission.
Mr. Samarasinhe also thanked and expressed the satisfaction to the Ambassador and the staff for their commitment and the dedication shown in the affairs of the mission and also warm hospitality extended to the delegation. Diplomatic Staff of the mission present at the occasion.

10 сентябя 2014 состоялся визит делегации Минске постоянный координатор системы ООН во главе с постоянный представитель ПРООН в Беларуси Санака Самарасинха. Посол Его Превосходительство Удаянга Виратунга организовал прием в своей резиденции и праздничный ужин. Г-н Посол поблагодарил делегацию за выбор Москвы для своего визита, т.к. социальные условия и уровень жизни в столице России очень изменился за последнее время и этот визит позволит участникам делегации увидеть ситуацию своими глазами и получить информацию из первых рук, что поможет им в организации работы миссии в дальнейшем.
Г-н Самарасинха также поблагодарил всех присутствующих и выразил удовлетворенность работой Посла и всех сотрудников Миссии, которые проявляют заинтересованность и активное участие в делах Посольства. Также он выразил благодарность за гостеприимный прием, оказанный делегации. На приеме присутствовали дипломатические сотрудники Посольства.
