H.E. Udayanga Weeratunga and Mrs. Weeratunga hosted a special dinner reception in honour of the Honorable Minister G.L. Peiris. Hon Minister expressed his gratitude to the Russian Federation for being the true companion in the difficult times of Sri Lanka and explained about the development of Sri Lanka.
Mrs. Kshenuka Seneviratne, Ambassadors of other countries, higher officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Diplomatic officials representing other embassies in Russia, Sri Lankan Business community and the Staff of the Embassy participated the event.

23 мая в здании Посольства Шри-Ланки в Москве был организован прием от имени Его Превосходительства г-на Удаянга Виратунга и его супруги в честь Почетного Министра Г.Л.Пейриса. Министр выразил свою благодарность Российской Федерации за поддержку, которую она оказывала в сложные для Шри-Ланки времена, а также рассказал о развитии Шри-Ланки.
На обеде также присутствовали г-жа Сеневиратне, послы и дипломатические сотрудники других стран, аккредитованные в России, высшие должностные лица Министерства иностранных дел, представители бизнес-общины Шри-Ланки, а также сотрудники Посольства Шри-Ланки в России.
